Ebie told us this weekend she was ready for the big girl bed. She did this by first throwing everything out of her crib, and when told if she did it again she could just lay down on the rug, she said, "okay." Then on Saturday she requested her big girl bed by name, and we had to move her after she fell asleep since we didn't have a bed rail yet. Rail purchased on Sunday and she was all set! It does take her a while to fall asleep though. She likes to play in there for an hour or so first - which has led to some interesting commentary drifting out of her room:
"I wear Daddy's shoes." (peek inside revealed this was in fact true)
"I change Baby's diaper." (peek inside revealed wipes strewn out of the box and her doll on the changing table)
"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, big girl bed." (singing)
"Come here. Daddy! I got out there. Mommy!"
